 :: Renovations

The renovations for the residential quarters are pretty much finished and so are the renovations of the guest quarters.  Click on the Before and After Pictures link to see the changes in each of the rooms upstairs.

Before and After Pictures

Now work continues on our private quarters in the basement and outside.
Come back often to see what is new at The Bit Ranch.

Debbie has been very delinquent with updating the website.  But here are the pictures for March thru May.  Things outside are beginning to take shape.  Come back often to see these new changes!

    May

Darryn continues on with the chicken coop and takes off all the rotten siding

And also clears out some of the trees that are in the chicken run

Then he takes a break and starts working on Debbie's vegetable garden. This picture shows the poles that will make up the fencing.

Darryn calls it the pole forrest.

Some other things that have been done in the last couple of weeks... Darryn installed two large tanks for water storage

He put a little walking bridge across the run off creek so that we can walk around the whole property without getting wet.

And he put the poles in for the second wood shed

Debbie has also cleaned out the flower garden and planted more flowers.

Hopefully they will bloom really soon!

    March - April

Now that the rooms are done, the furnishings can go in. Starting with the sauna

And the massage table

A view of the massage room

Another look at the sauna

The next project Debbie wanted was a clothesline

This one needed to be high off the ground to accomodate those king size sheets.

The platform is 3 1/2 feet off the ground, so railings will be installed. But it works just fine!

A view from the opposite end. It works pretty darn good!

Next Darryn decided to tackle the chicken coop.

Starting with cleaning up the junk from around the building!

Boy there was a lot of junk!

But some salvagable things, like this cage.

But the rest got seperated into a burn pile and a garbage pile. Here Darryn starts the burn pile

This is the evening look at the large blaze!

    January-February

Although we had no guests over Christmas, Debbie still decorated the room

And we even have the newly upholstered couch and chair back

Isn't that a pretty tree?

Even decorations on the door

Okay, back to work. Debbie works to clean the walls in preparation for priming

What a spotty job...ha, ha!

Doesn't it look like the walls have the measles?

But it looks good for part one

And now Darryn starts to paint the primer on the walls.

White City!

Looks nice and fresh

This is the sauna room

Debbie repaints the wall on the common room side. It had to be redone because of the new door

Work, work, work that is all she does.

Here's Darryn painting the sauna room. What a pretty color!

He is going such a bang up job!

This is the massage room. It looks great too!

Nice complemental colors for the two rooms.

Here's Debbie cutting in around the ceiling

It's such a labourous task

Two thumbs up!

Now the floor gets put in

Debbie & Two Bit help out
