Welcome to the Bit Ranch!
Many people ask about the name, The Bit Ranch.
The name came from your host Debbie's innate love of
horses and her previously chosen career choice.
Of course an integral part of the horse's tack is
the BIT and a the computer language is made up
of BITs and bytes. So it just made sense
to make a name with the word BIT in it. And
although our property is not a ranch, we aspire to
have one and therefore think of it as a little BIT
of a ranch.
And so the name The Bit Ranch was born. And
when Debbie came up with the motto 'A little bit of
this and a little bit of that, but a whole lot of
fun'. It just seemed destined that we picked the
right name.
Your Hosts:
Debbie and Darryn
Langstaff

Your host couple is all dressed up in this picture
which is not the norm.
But your are sure to recognize them when you come
visit the Bit Ranch.
In 2007, after a successful career in the IT field
and traveling all over the world, Debbie decided to
quit her job and become a B&B hostess. She
enjoys cooking and cleaning and taking care of her
guests. Debbie will be pleased to help you make your stay
comfortable and as enjoyable in any way that she can.
Darryn, the jack of all trades, works in retail by
day and works on our renovations by night and
weekends. He will
be sure to entertain you with many stories about how
we renovated the Bit Ranch just for our guests.
The Mascot:
Two Bit

Many people think that our B&B was named after Two
Bit, but the opposite is actually the truth. Our
generous neighbour gave us our favorite companion
about a year after we had bought the property and came
up with the B&B name.
Our neighbour promptly named him Two Bit after the
Bit Ranch. In fact, he was the mascot from that
moment on, even though we hadn't even opened our
doors.
He is a very friendly dog and loves to be in the
middle of the action. He can often be found
laying under the desk as Debbie or Darryn work on the
computer. Or curled up in his bed, which he
shares with Darryn sometimes.
